TOP TEN LIVE ENTERTAINMENT
VENUES
IN FORT MYERS
Mealodies’ Top Ten September 2026 (In no specific order)
Fort Myers gives you a lot of ground to cover when you’re looking for live entertainment. Downtown is only part of the story, so for this month’s Top Ten we’ve spread things out, from Downtown and South Fort Myers to North Fort Myers and Fort Myers Beach.
We weren’t simply looking for the ten places with the most nights of live music either. Frequency certainly matters, but so does variety, atmosphere, food and drinks, the performers and the overall experience.
That’s why you’ll find everything from waterfront live music and local bands to tribute shows, DJs, karaoke, trivia and music bingo on this month’s list.
As of September 2026, here’s what we got.
Bimini Bait Shack
If we’re talking about consistency, Bimini Bait Shack is difficult to beat.
Located near the Sanibel Causeway, Bimini combines waterfront dining, seafood, tropical drinks and live music in an atmosphere that feels distinctly Southwest Florida.
The September schedule is loaded with live entertainment seven days a week, frequently featuring two different performers in a single day. Afternoon music often rolls right into an evening performance.
Add the waterfront setting, tropical atmosphere and one of the more unusual bars in the area, and Bimini isn’t simply somewhere to hear music. It’s a complete Fort Myers experience.
Sea-Craft Waterfront Tiki
Just across the river in North Fort Myers, Sea-Craft Waterfront Tiki earns its place by offering something to do virtually every day of the week.
September includes live bands and solo performers along with karaoke Tuesdays, music bingo Wednesdays, Monday bingo, Thursday Honky Tonk parties and special events.
The waterfront tiki atmosphere doesn’t hurt either. Sea-Craft is a good example of what we mean when we say entertainment doesn’t have to mean putting a band on stage every night.
There’s enough variety here that the experience can be completely different depending on which night you visit.
McGregor’s Public House
McGregor’s Public House brings an Irish pub into the mix—and a surprisingly busy entertainment schedule.
During September, live performers are scheduled nearly every night, including solo artists, bands and traditional Irish music sessions. Live trivia and music bingo add even more variety.
Combine that with Irish-inspired food, a substantial beer and whiskey selection and the atmosphere of a neighborhood public house, and McGregor’s offers something different from the waterfront tiki bars and traditional music venues on our list.
Entertainment isn’t an occasional add-on here. It’s part of the identity of the place.
Mango Rita’s Rhythm House
Mango Rita’s Rhythm House approaches live entertainment a little differently.
Rather than simply booking local musicians throughout the week, Mango Rita’s has become a destination for live bands and larger tribute productions. September includes the Gatlin Show and Alter Ego Band along with tribute shows celebrating Zac Brown Band, Elton John, Queen and Def Leppard.
Then there are other events such as Singo, karaoke and poker mixed into the calendar.
For people who want dinner and entertainment but prefer something closer to a concert experience—with a stage, dance floor and full-production tribute shows—Mango Rita’s fills a niche that few other venues on our Top Ten do.
Nauti Parrot Oasis
Nauti Parrot Oasis brings plenty of entertainment to South Fort Myers, making it an easy choice for our September Top Ten.
Live music is a regular part of the schedule, featuring a rotating lineup of local performers throughout the week. Add karaoke, trivia and other events, and there’s usually something happening beyond simply stopping in for dinner or drinks.
The casual tropical atmosphere, seafood and full bar make Nauti Parrot Oasis the kind of place where you can grab something to eat, have a few drinks and stick around for the entertainment.
For Mealodies, it’s the combination that earns the spot: regular live music, entertainment variety, food and a South Fort Myers location that helps us spread our Top Ten across the area.
The Whale
The Whale takes frequency to another level.
Located on Fort Myers Beach, its September calendar has live music every single day of the month. Most days feature two performers, and several feature three, with music beginning in the afternoon and continuing into the evening.
Solo performers, duos and full bands all appear throughout the month.
That’s why we’re including The Whale even though it’s technically on Fort Myers Beach. We’re looking at the broader Fort Myers entertainment scene, and leaving out a venue supporting this much live local music because of a municipal boundary wouldn’t make much sense.
If you’re looking specifically for live music, The Whale is one of the strongest calendars on our September Top Ten.
Live on Hendry / World Famous Cigar Bar
Downtown Fort Myers needs to be represented, and Live on Hendry gives us one of the River District’s strongest live-music destinations.
Located next to World Famous Cigar Bar, Live on Hendry is a dedicated music venue operating Wednesday through Saturday. September’s calendar includes Mattlee Crew, Driftstone Duo, Half Cocked, Deep Cover, Green Dragons, Eddie Z, Stereo Riot, Fuzzbox, Parks and Wreck and others.
We also like the dual experience. You can enjoy the atmosphere of World Famous Cigar Bar and have a dedicated live-music venue right next door.
This isn’t a restaurant that occasionally brings in entertainment. Live music is the reason Live on Hendry exists.
Lumber Axe Whiskey Bar & Grill
Lumber Axe Whiskey Bar & Grill might be one of the more unusual additions to our September Top Ten.
It’s a whiskey bar and grill with live bands—but there’s also axe throwing, poker and a rotating schedule of special events. September includes performances from bands such as Collaboration Band and Red Hannah, along with themed gatherings and other activities.
That variety is precisely why Lumber Axe makes our list.
Sometimes you want to sit back and listen to a musician. Other times you want dinner, drinks, a band and perhaps to throw an axe at something.
Preferably the target.
Bay Street Yard
Bay Street Yard brings a completely different atmosphere to Downtown Fort Myers.
This open-air entertainment yard combines multiple bars, food options, a covered performance stage and a large screen, allowing it to move easily between live music, DJs, sports and special events.
September’s schedule includes live bands such as Zombie University, Collaboration Band, Hambone and The Smokin’ Aces, with DJs taking over later on several nights.
That live-band-to-late-night-DJ combination gives Bay Street Yard a different energy from most of the venues on our list. It’s particularly well suited to groups who want to eat, drink, watch a game, hear a band and stay out afterward.
Rusty’s Raw Bar & Grill
Rusty’s earns our final September spot by doing something Mealodies likes to see: keeping people entertained throughout the week.
Its Fort Myers location has a particularly varied September schedule. Tuesdays bring trivia, Wednesdays feature Boozy Bingo, Thursdays have Music Bingo, and Fridays and Saturdays bring live bands.
September performers include Riverside, Parks & Wreck, Life of the Party, Unfinished Business, Dead Man’s Hand, The Echo and One 80 Band.
That works out to entertainment approximately five nights a week, while still being a casual raw bar and grill where you can grab dinner and drinks.
Rusty’s proves that a venue doesn’t need live music seven nights a week to make our Top Ten. Consistency and variety count too.
Who Makes Next Month’s Top Ten?
Fort Myers’ entertainment scene doesn’t stand still, and neither will this list.
Mealodies updates our Top Ten Live Entertainment Venues in Fort Myers every month. Entertainment schedules change. New venues open. Established venues add performers, bands, DJs, karaoke, trivia and other entertainment—and sometimes venues cut back.
That’s why we date our Top Ten.
Check back next month to see who’s in, who’s new and where the entertainment is happening throughout the Fort Myers area.
And remember: schedules can change, so always check the venue’s current entertainment calendar before heading out.
